What is a Bandigon personalised picture book?
It’s an illustrated picture book with your own story and characters drawn from your photos or descriptions. You don’t pick a template and swap in a name: you tell the story, Bandigon helps you shape it, and every page is illustrated for that story.
Do I need to be a writer to create my picture book story?
No. A memory, a few sentences or a simple “what if?” is enough. Bandigon, our story guide, asks the right questions and helps with the words, or drafts the story with you if you’re short on time. Most people finish in 20 minutes to an hour, and your story saves as you go.
Does Bandigon use AI to create the story?
Yes, and you decide how much. Bandigon can write a whole story for you from a few details, or help you write your own, one idea at a time. Either way, you stay in charge of the plot, the tone and every detail, and you can change any word before it’s printed. The illustrations are drawn with AI too, from your photos or descriptions.
What happens to the photos I upload to create my picture book?
Each photo is used once to draw that character, then deleted. We don’t keep your photos, and they never appear in your book. Only the illustrated character is saved, so you can use it in your story.
Can I create a character without a photo?
Yes. Describe them in words instead: hair, skin tone, eyes, glasses, a favourite outfit, or breed, fur colour and markings for a pet. The more detail you give, the closer the character.
What can I create for free?
You can write your whole story, create up to six characters, choose an illustration style and see your first 4 pages illustrated, all without a card.
Can I edit my picture book before it’s printed?
Yes. We try to make it perfect first time, but you can polish every detail: rewrite the words, move the text, redraw illustrations and change your characters’ outfits and looks.
How long does delivery take, and where do you ship?
We ship printed books to Australia, the UK, Europe and the USA. In Australia they usually arrive in 8 to 12 business days, and you’ll see the delivery estimate for your address before you pay. The digital flipbook is ready as soon as you finish your book.
Can I give a personalised picture book as a gift if it’s their story to tell?
Yes. Give a gift voucher instead. It arrives by email, and they create the book themselves. See gift vouchers
